1. Membership and Payment
Atlas Athletics offers a range of membership types designed to meet the diverse needs of our clientele, including monthly, annual, and specialized program memberships. Each membership type comes with specific access privileges and benefits, detailed at the time of enrollment. By initiating a membership, you agree to the associated fees and terms, which form part of your member agreement.
Billing Cycles and Payment Methods
Membership fees are charged according to your chosen billing cycle (e.g., monthly on the 1st of each month for monthly plans, annually for annual plans). Payments are processed automatically using the credit card or approved payment method provided at registration. Members are responsible for ensuring their payment information is current and valid. Accounts with past-due balances may incur a late fee of $25 and may result in temporary suspension of facility access until the balance is cleared. Membership fees are non-refundable, though exceptions may be made under specific circumstances outlined in our cancellation policy.
Freeze and Cancellation Policies
Members may request to freeze their membership for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months per calendar year due to medical reasons or extended travel, provided a 15-day written notice is given before the next billing cycle, along with supporting documentation where applicable. A nominal freeze fee may apply. To cancel a membership, a 30-day written notice is required prior to your next billing date. Cancellations requested less than 30 days before the billing date will result in one final charge. Refunds are not issued for partial billing cycles. Early termination of annual contracts may be subject to an early cancellation fee. These service policies ensure fairness to all members and the operational integrity of Atlas Athletics.
2. Rules of Conduct and Facility Use
To maintain a premium, safe, and respectful environment optimal for performance and wellness, Atlas Athletics enforces specific rules of conduct and facility use. Adherence to these fitness service policies ensures a positive experience for everyone.
Gym Etiquette
- Always re-rack weights and return equipment to its designated place.
- Wipe down equipment after each use with provided sanitization wipes.
- Wear appropriate athletic attire and closed-toe shoes at all times within workout areas.
- Keep personal belongings secured in lockers to maintain clear pathways.
- Respect other members' workout spaces and refrain from loud conversations or excessive noise.
Guest Policies
Members may bring guests, subject to guest pass availability and fees. All guests must register at the front desk, complete a waiver, and adhere to all facility rules and regulations. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult member.
Specialized Equipment Usage (e.g., Cryotherapy, Sauna)
Use of specialized recovery equipment, such as cryotherapy chambers or saunas, requires prior training, booking, and adherence to specific safety protocols. Members must sign additional waivers for these services and follow all instructions provided by Atlas Athletics staff. Misuse of equipment may lead to suspension of privileges. These Toronto fitness protocols are in place for your safety and well-being.
3. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
Participation in fitness activities inherently involves risks. By engaging in personal training, group classes, using facility equipment, or participating in any program offered by Atlas Athletics, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with physical exercise and wellness practices.
These risks may include, but are not limited to, bodily injury, strains, fractures, dehydration, heat exhaustion, and in rare cases, more severe incidents. It is your responsibility to assess your physical and mental readiness for such activities. Atlas Athletics strongly recommends consulting with a physician before commencing any new fitness program or using any recovery service, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or concerns about your health.
You understand that Atlas Athletics, its employees, contractors, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to your person or property resulting from your use of its facilities or participation in its programs, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Atlas Athletics for any such claims, demands, injuries, damages, or causes of action now or in the future inherent in the activities you engage in. This waiver of liability is a fundamental component of the member agreement and applies to all services and facilities provided by Atlas Athletics.
IMPORTANT: Your safety is our priority, but your health is your responsibility. Always listen to your body and seek professional medical advice when needed.
